Fixed price care packages include all normal elements of hospital care - surgeon's, anaesthetist's and hospital fees including the first post-operative check up. They also cover any unforeseen eventualities such as a slow recovery or unexpected problems following surgery, even in the rare event that it is necessary to return to hospital. Please note: for insured patients, fees are generally as agreed between insurers and the profession. Occasionally insurance may not cover the fees entirely (e.g. if there is an excess on the policy). Whether insured or not, patients should be aware that it is they and not their insurers who are liable for any fees incurred. Any shortfall remains the patient's responsibility.
